The Ranthambore National Park occupies a picturesque location at the meeting point of the Aravalli Hills and the Vindhyan Plateau in the eastern Rajasthan. Ranthambore was famous as the hunting ground of the former Maharajas of Jaipur. The Chambal River in the South and the Banas River in the North are the source of water in the Park.
